NOTD: Pink glitter star nails

Base coat: Barry M gelly Hi-Shine in 'Pomegranate'|| Glitter: NYX nail polish in 'Dreamy Glitter'|| Topcoat: Nicole by Opi top coat

I am not a big fan of Barry M nail polishes usually but i really wanted to try one from the new gelly HI-shine range. I chose the colour 'pomegranate' which is a rich raspberry red shade. I wasn't over fussed with the colour range but this one standed out to me from the rest because i do usually like to wear pink and red nail polish shades. This polish was really hyped up recently as one of the glossiest nail polishes, i do think it has a beautiful glossy finish but i wasn't too impressed with the formula. It takes a while to dry  and it can be quite messy. However i really liked the brush and the finish, plus it is really opaque; i just painted on one coat and it covered the nail perfectly. 

I then used NYX girls nail polish in 'Dreamy glitter' which is a stunning glitter polish filled with stars, holographic micro-glitter and hex glitter - a very girly unique nail polish. I usually go for OPI when i am buying a glitter top coats but i really love the formula of these NYX polishes which are less then half the price. This really reminded me of the heart glitter polish from the OPI Minnie mouse collection but i think i actually like Dreamy glitter a little bit more because i love the mix of glitter.. I only used one coat of this polish but sometimes you do have to dig around for the stars to coat the nail fully. I think this polish will look beautiful on a dark purple metallic base coat. I bought this in New York but NYX now have a UK website so i will defiantly be stocking up on lots of pretty glitter top coats. 

To finish off, i used my favourite clear top coat- Nicole by OPI top coat which just gives it that extra bit of shine and stops the stars from folding upwards.
