You know you are getting older when you get excited about little storage boxes but i absolutely love these to store my makeup in. My mum bought some last week after seeing these because she loved the idea of organising all her makeup into different sections. You have to buy each draw separately and then you can decide which sizes you want and how you want to stack them. I decided to get one large draw for foundations, two medium size draws- one for eye makeup and one for lip products, and finally two small draws for mascaras. I place this underneath my dressing table and then put my MAC lipsticks and favourite everyday makeup in a clear makup storage with lipstick holders from Walmart in Florida.
Ikea 'Samla' box:
I bought this box to store my nail polish in. I was going too buy an actual nail polish rack off ebay for about £25 which holds 50 polishes but i decided to get this instead to put on top of my makeup storage boxes. It holds around 70 nail polishes approx and it is easy to see the colours too.
Top row: Mascaras
Second row: Lip products
Third row: Eye products
Bottom row: foundations and concealers
Ikea 'Byholma' basket:
My drawers and dressing table are next to my bedroom sink so i have put this wooden storage box next to there to store my morning and night skin care products so that i can easily reach in to it to see what i need to get out.
New York Picture and black frame
I just had to get this picture for my room as this was the exact street that we stayed on a couple of weeks ago in New York.
Mirror:
table mirror with magnifying mirror on one side. I have seen a gorgeous dressing table mirror in Ikea too recently which has celebrity dressing room style lights around it haha!
Kath Kidston inspired floral bedding
I fell in love with the print of this as soon as i saw it. My boyfriend and brother said it looked like an old granny's bed sheet but it personally reminds me of Kath Kidston's floral prints. They had quite a few pretty floral bed sheets but this one really stood out for me. They also do some blue kath kidston inspired cushions and a gorgeous cream wooly throw which i might go back for.
Hello everyone, this is a bit different to the usual beauty/fashion related posts on my blog but i thought i would show you a few bits and bobs that i bought in a late night ikea shop just before christmas, as i personally love looking at interior designs and storage ideas. I also love buying clear storage for my bedroom to store makeup brushes, skin care etc. I have bought small clear acrylic storage from Muji in the past, such as the brush holder in the the photo above, which i love but i noticed Ikea sold some stackable clear storage so me being a little storage geek i literally ran over and stocked up on them. Whilst i was there i decided to pick up a few more items for my bedroom and i am also thinking of getting one of them acrylic ghost chairs to put under my dressing table. My whole room is turning acrylic!
I hope you liked this post, and i would love to know of any makeup etc storage ideas that you have too.
